PS2 games

Finally got a PS2 tonight and I have had a blast playing the ATV 2 game that came with it. I'm looking for a couple of games, any suggestions? Games that I like playing the most are racing and sports games.

Grand Turismo 3 is one of the best racing games. part 4 will be out in april i think. Need 4 Speed Underground is supposed to rock but i havent played it yet. are you planning on online gaming?

FIFA 2003 or 2004
Tony Hawk's Underground

Racing:

GT3 is an awesome game & you can get it for under $20

Action:

Socom 1 & 2
GTA 3 & Vice City

That should entertain you for a while!

I must agree on the shout out for Madden 2004, also for sports NBA Street 1&2 are really fun. Street may not be the most realistic basketball game but it's got the highest fun factor of the PS2 sports games.

Grand theft auto 3 I really enjoy.
racing, strategy, lots of cars to drive, levels to advance through, videos to watch.

It does have apretty mature content tho. I wouldnt let my 6 yr old play it heheh

I just bought Need For Speed Underground and that game kicks A$$!!!! I'm not much of a "Rice Rocket" fan but this game is sweeet

take the ps2 backa nd get an xbox... i have both xbox and ps2 and i can easily say xbox is better but grand theft auto vice city should keep you busy for a bit and you can blow lots of stuff up!

get nfsug and granturismo 4 when it comes out get nba street 2 i got it two weeks before it came out and for 10 bucks

xbox is crapola if you ask me. just look at the number of games out there for ps2. the xbox controller sux.

I appreciate all of the responses. One of the reasons that I went with the PS2 was the large number of games. It also came with the internet adapter and software.
I will probably wait until Grand Turismo 4 comes out. I used to love that game on the old PS1. Looks like I will give one of the GTA's a shot.

I have both PS2 and XBOX. True PS2 has more games, but the XBOX has killer graphics and better sound.

Just compare True Crime Streets of LA for PS2 and for XBOX. Whoa! Major difference! XBOX's version is totally better.

Why do I have both? Some games are exclusively for a specific console. For example SOCOM 1-2 is only available for PS2 and I really like those games.

(By the way, I also have the original PS and the Dreamcast, don't like the cube though.)

PS original - over 200 games
Dreamcast - 80 games
PS2 - 23 games
XBOX - 23 games

After my RC Nitro addiction - I hardly play anymore.
