If antone is reading this thread to decide to get a swift take it from someone who did buy one. DONT BUY A SWIFT!!!!!!! It is the biggest peace of crap that anyone ever tried to make. I bought mine in Jan. and wish someone would of told me of all the things that go wrong with them. Nothing is good with the car well the radio is good but thats it!!!!:::flaming: :flaming:

I was just thinking, how feasible is to convert the SWIFT into a Truggy? HP Invent or Wagnerov are there any plans for a conversion kit? (w/ or wo/ 2speed)

I have been considering getting a GS Racing Storm SUT, but if I can convert my Swift that would be perfect.....

OK, I have done a lil' digging and I may have at least a start toward this conversion.

I am not sure if this will work but these are my thoughts:

- Use the Swift Rear Shock tower on the Front with rear shocks (assuming they are diffrent.)

- Not sure about body mounts

- Use GS Racing Storm hex wheel adapters

- Not sure about bumper yet

- Change the gearing (Clutch bell)

I expect this conversion to take a while as I am having to order all of the parts. I will let you know how it goes.

Hey Guys... Well I was just wondering about the swift... Is it fast? Hows the parts on it , Hop up abilitly? Just leave here your ups and downs of the swift, I'm in the process of getting a buggy and I'm wondering. Thanks

do not I repeat do not buy a swift!!!!!!!You will regret it. I did and I regret it. If I had a sledge hammer I would smash the swift to oblivion. I am going to tell everyone who will listen to me about the swift. IT IS A PIECE OF CRAP!!!!!!!!!! Spend your hard earned money on something you will enjoy and not have to work on all the time.:constipat

do you guys ember the Adam Sandler song "Piece of crap car"???
Well he must have been singing about the swift!!!

Hello,

Work has started on a "truggy", believe it or not. It's not a real priority right now, but we have a list of changes that will be made to the buggy to convert it into a truck. Instead of creating a smaller clutch bell, we're gonna make a larger spur gear with spacers underneath the center diff mount. Longer front shocks, body mounts, slightly different chassis, new hex-hubs, maybe 2-3 other little changes and that's it. I hadn't thought of doing a conversion kit, but I don't see why it can't be created. Thanks for the suggestion!

As far as your own conversion goes, you can make your own bumper, body mount plates, and other goodies out of Kydex. That's the best material for scratch-building, as you can heat it up and bend it easily, and it's extremely durable. A lot of old-school stuff in the early 90's was simply cut and bent Kydex material. Works great for those who can't mold their own stuff! Half of the fun in R/C is building your own designs.

I'm not familiar with the BMI charger, but since it is a RX/TX battery charger, it probably charges at a very slow rate. Let it go for 2 hours, and see if all the cells in the battery are warm. If not, check it periodically thereafter. If you're lucky, it's a peak charger and will shut off when peak voltage is achieved. Rule of thumb: if it's warm, not HOT, it's fully charged.

Other things just aren't worth responding to.

Well I dont know what you did to your car but I am very happy with mine, I've had it since it first came out in Dicember and the only thing i had to do was shim the diffs and lock tie the cvj pins. After doing that I have not had to stop bashing for anything other than nitro. I respect your opinnion but it is just plain WRONG.

What specfically was wrong with your car? I understand you had a bad experience but if you are going to give something a negative please give examples, it will only give validity to your opinion. Simply telling everyone it is junk without a reasonable explanation makes you look a little unintelligent and that the problem was user error. Being in the computer field and doing so for many years has always showed me a user will first blame the computer as if user error was an impossible variable. With some reasoning behind your claims will only help people to understand what went wrong so please expand.

Wanna sell it

Sounds like your just a hater of a really fairly priced competive car. I'v been racing Mbx4 and K2's for the past two years and I still own and Love them both btw. I bought the swift just a month ago, and "OH MY" It runs just as Solid as the other two. I really don't see a difference between the three (If you tune it right). Diff oils 30000(fronts), 60000(mid), and 10000(rear). I like the Pull feeling than the push feeling. 1.3 mm pistons all around with 40wt(front) and 30wt (rear) shock oils. The stock tires handles just as good as the Proline Crimefighters.
:no_commen So honestly, Please donn't hate on a great Car....It makes you look like an Idiot (sorry) when their are alot of Happy Swift Owners!!!

I like the design of the swift.More bang for the buck as far as I can see. Just wish my LHS carried them so I can see them up close instead of looking at pictures in mags and websites.
