Felt inclined to post this, 'cause my boy made me proud as hell today!

This summer, a local movie theater gives kids a free movie pass every Wednesday for writing a book report (more like a paragraph, but you get the point).

My son has written a book report just about every week, so my wife, son and daughter see a movie just about every Wednesday and only have to pay for my wife's admission. The fact that he has taken the initiative to write the reports made me proud, but today, it paid off in spades!

I did not know this, but every week, during the movie, the theater manager reads the reports and picks one for a prize based on the quality of the report. Well, today, my son's was picked!

Actually got himself a cool little grab bag!

I tell ya, he was so proud of himself and so was his Old Man! He came running out of the house when I got home, and usually that means he messed up during the day and wants to try and "explain" it to me before his Mom tells me what happened, but today it was ear-to-ear grins!

Well well well.
I would be proud of my son too.
Good work.

Its all ways nice to come home to a good thing.
Sounds like your son is smart like two heads.
Congrats..

Nothing better than being a part of your sons best day. Congrats to you and your boy.

Nice job Monkey, did he write the report on the book or did he use clif notes? Just bustin' on ya, really great! Don't know what it was but for some reason I read it as season 1 of the Sopranos and started laughing and had to re-read it.

Congrats man, nothing compares to your children's accomplishments.
