Are there any hints/tips for protecting the chrome finish on HPI Savage X 4.6 wheels? One of the Warlocks has already started peeling/chipping away & I've just bought a set of 7" Blasts with Goliath tyres. Wondered whether for instance they could be spray lacquered or something similar?

Appreciate any help & advice..

One tip ill tell you right now is avoid fuel on them.. It just melts the paint right off.

Other than that I've not had any issues with my wheels.

As far as spraying any sort of clear coat on the wheels is going to dull the wheels shine.. Even if you got super glossy it would still make it sort of dull looking.

You seem really worried about keeping your rig "pretty". It's going to get banged up, scratched, dented, bent and all around jacked up.

Just enjoy it. Bash the hell out of it. They look better used anyway.

I'm like an over-protective father. Hehe.. ;)
