Just put in a proline runtime fuel tank in my maxx> its got a special baffel inside so that if the truck turns upsidedown it will stay running and its bigger than the stock one but goes in the same spot.. I was breaking in my Ofna .26 from a rebuild/port job I did... just puttin around... whats this I see.. wet stuff... FUEL!!! dammit I wasent even going fast and somehow a rock found its way to the only exposed corner (under the truck where the drive shaft is) and put a small hole in the tank WTF I've had my stock tank in there for 5+ years on the old 2.5 that was in there and it went through hell.. This tank is GARBAGE just incase anyone was looking into buying one save your money!:angry:

damn your luck sucks. i have had mine for 2 weeks and absolutely love it. havent had any probs with it yet. good luck

Yes I have a full rc soultions roll cage , full skids center too, fuel tank protector... And no you can't patch the hole.. There's no epoxy (that I know of) that resists nitro methane and the tank is proprolene plastic another factor, again no plastic weld epoxys will bond to it..

found what caused the hole

My wonderful MIP cvd came apart AGAIN the gash in the tank sure looks like the same size as the pin from the shaft it must have flew out into the tank..
I bought five different kinds of epoxy and nothing is sticking.. EBAY HERE I COME!!!!

Actually I used JB weld on one of my tanks and it held for a long time. The only reason that I replaced the tank was because I wasn't thinking and put too long of a screw in the tank and pierced the bottom. I cleaned the tank with dawn liquid dish soap. Dried it and then used a lil bit of sandpaper to rough the bottom. I let it set over night and it worked like a charm.

I hae a buddy that runs that tank and loves it. Gets close to 20 min. out of his OS .18TZ. When this tank craps out I will be getting the Proline. I think you just had one of those 1 in a million freak acidents.
