RC Driving Style
Since ya all pick on my furry critter.. here is another one.. #2 of 4 bodies i bought.. i tend to tear them up fast.. and its worth more to buy a whole bunch at 1 time and save on shipping.. i have yet to pay mroe than 20$ a body..

windows tinted in candy purpal, it is white parma, dryed to touch (i actually let it sit a tad to long, keep idea of 1-2hr like on beetle body next time, scored the paint with a stick pin to make a hatched look to the paint like it is cracking. then painted with gold matilic candy blue mix (custom blend experimenting for firetruck body, wan tto mak ecandy green gold metalic) then backed in grey primer look oil base to waterproof the water based white paint...
 
that doesn't have quite the look that the bug did, but it still looks pretty awsome. I have that body but its orange and metallic black.
 
i bash pretty hard with the jetta bod.. so do not take as much time.. pluse it has been a while since i did a light color.. i was suprised the blue did not bled thru the white.. =)

you will like my next 2 bodies.. the firetruck is last though..
 
what are your next two bodies the firetruck and ..... can't wait to see them. How did you fit the onroad bodies on to the savage I want to mount the HPI baja bug once I get my savage.
 
the jetta fits right on with use of rear SUV mount at lowest setting, the beetle rsi bod I'm still working on teh rear mount, right now it sits on the tower and 1/2 the clip.. I'm going to use 2 ol RC 10 batt box screws that have holes made in them for clips, so it is secured.. i want to run the beetle bod at the hpi challange, its my show body, and if you win the show session, then you have to race it and i want it to be secure in case..

the 3rd body is a HPi f-150 flare side..

i have a bottle of bob dively i want to use on the fire truck, but only after testing it on the f-150, which is the hpi challange race body..

I also have fitting pics of the clear bodies PM me so i can get your email addy to mail them to you if you want to see it minus paint for questions on fit..
 
Man that Jeta looks so small when its on the savage !!I only use truck bodies on my truck. I think they look goofy when they have small little bodies on a huge truck !! Just my 2 cents..But anyways thats a nice body that you have there.
 
What's with making the MT into an MC? I'll admit the Bug looked interesting (I really like the Lightning Bug and think a baja might be cool), but this touring car and then the flare side racing truck...c'mon. It is a...

not a car. That being said, nice job on the bodies and good luck with the next two.
 
look on tower.. they have part #s for them all..

why cause they do not make a VW truck body as of yet.. and ford, dodge (best of the evil 3), and chevy suck A$$, to all their own..

the only reason i got the f-150 was for hpi challange, need a hpi body, and dont want to have a savage looking like everyone elses..

the firetruck is sweet.. its a classic.. some candy green, gold metalic, ghost flames, alot of chrome and detail work it will be the baddest... but it is more for sitting on the shelf on down time.
 
Nice work!!! Keep the originality flowin. Especially that VW thing you have going on!!!:clap: hmmm, I wonder if there is a VW bus body out there? That would be crazy:D
 
HPi made one for the mini sized cars... with ability to make it into a pick up.. i have a new in bag one and one i bought used off ebay that i did the truck bed to.. to small for savage though..

where do you get bodies for 20 beans?

they are like 27 around here :-/
 
i buy 3-4 at a time from rcboyz off ebay.. usually 10$ shipped ot me for a 16-18$ body, divide the 10 for shipping up.. still comes out less than 20 a body.. i also tend to buy spaz stix paitn and paint supplies at the same time.. they cheap on it too.. they have a ebay store.. and www.rcboyz.com websight..

Where did you buy the Jetta body from? I've searched all over the internet with little or no luck. I tried www.rcboyz.com but they only had the bug.
