I have had 2 sets of these and they will not hold the tire under brushless power.

Those look pretty cool, if i can't fix my one rim for my savage I'm going to have to get new rims.

i always glue my tires. are beadlocks that great because I've been hearin galot about them lately.

Depends on the beadlock toolman, since most guys are doing brushless setups on these sc trucks, a cheaper (wich i think these prolines are) set of beadlocks arent gonna beable to hold very well. If you can afford some nice aluminum beadlocks your tires wont go anywhere!

So would these be fine under the stock power setup? I'm thinking about picking up a set.

Pretty much everyone I know around here uses the switch/epic combo and loves them, never heard anyone complain of losing a bead...although not many of them run brushless either.

Hey Maruader I have that exact wheel setup on my Slash with the BL 8.5 motor with 4600 NiMh 7 cell pack. I have run it hard and I have not popped a bead yet. I would recomend them.

Excellent, thanks for the advice guys. I know a lot of people don't pay attention to the torque they're putting on their screws that thread into plastic and I'd imagine that's why a lot of people are having issues with the beads popping.

if you're going to run a BL setup and lipo set up you're gonna throw the bead. using a BL and nimh cells its a toss up in my opinion. i ran my epics with nimh's for a few packs and the beads held but i've seen a friend running nimh's and BL and the beadlocks failed.

o i c, maby ill invst in the beadlocks because I'm about to buy a rustler vxl and i heard that has some tork behind it.

Aluminum beadlocks will work, but they'll be HEAVY. If you're running brushless, use a rim/tire combo that you can glue. If you glue it with some good CA glue on a clean rim and tire, it'll take quite a bit before a bead will get thrown...there's a reason why most if not all racers still glue their tires and forego beadlocks altogether.

Hit the nail right on the head. When you are screwing into plastic... after tight comes loose. Just like Chris Chianelli used to say... no need to put the gorilla grip on it!
