Hey guys,

Just picked up the new Proline 23mm hubs for my Tmaxx. The installation seems to be pretty self explainatory except for the bag of washers that come with them. Does anybody know what those are for and how they fit into the installation? Thanks

Tom

How big are the washers? Are they big enough to fit inbetween the rim and the nut or between the axle bearing and the hex? Need more info...

They appear to be big enough to go between the nut and the wheel and vice versa. They come with 8 per pair. They are about the size of a watch style battery. No istructions came with the set. Hope this helps. Thanks again.

I actually bought them from my LHS but they couldn't tell me either. Proline's site is of no help and they don't sell directly to the consumer. So I turn the the experts here at RCNT....

are they the same ones on the websight?? the one with the little video on how they are installed??

Yep. Same model number and everything.... don't konw why they wouldn't have that on there site. I did have to wait awhile though. Proline had them on back order for a while... possible mod from the original release?

maby it goes behind the inner hex hub thing.. kinda like a shim.. are they big enough to fit over the threaded part on the 23mm hub ?? a pic would really help lol

No, they are not big enough to go around the head of the 23mm part. They are just slightly bigger than the stock wheel nut for the maxx. They are to big to be a shim in my opinion, but you know how that goes... The first set I got they guy gave me the wrong ones... he sold me the ones for the savage and I don't remember any washers included. The washers on the ones for the maxx are included at the bottom of the package in a seperate sealed bag. This has got me.... They got to be in there for some reason..

maby not.. the little video shows no washers.. and they go through the entire install.. maby it goes behind the pin on the shaft like a spacer??

Hey Beason.... check out the pic in the post WoodiE if you had $300.00 for R/C What would you do? Page 6 post 79 has a pic of the 23mm still in the pack and you can make out the washers in the pic. Hope this helps.. Thanks

You know dude... that sounds about right... I was just thinking if it were just for that then why the need for 8 per set of two? Unless they wear out quickly. It is possible... thanks for the info. Like you said earlier, maybe someone who has installed them will read the post and know what the heck the deal is... or if all else fails I can always PM Woodie to see if he installed them.

Thanks man

I got an idea.... Call Proline, & ask em....

That would be the obvious answer of course, but I am home no where near in time to call California in the evenings and those types of calls are frowned apon here at work. I was going to try and shoot them an email or something along those lines. I appologize to the moderators if I wasted your time with this thread.
