as you guys seen earlier i painted my first body today. well as i got to lookin at it and seeing how bad i hate chrome i decided to paint the wheels. what do you guys think?

Hey man, that's pretty cool! I like the wheels, how did you paint them?

BTW I noticed that you're not too far from me. You should meet up with our local club and bash when the weather gets nicer. We always go to Bethel, Ohio and practice at Sunrise RC Raceway. It's a good track and we're great friends with the owner so he lets us practice for a pretty good rate. Check my sig for links to my videos and our local nitro club. We'll probably be involved in some club racing this year too.
 
Black does look nice on rims. I had a buddy paint a set of mine canary yellow for when I ran a certain body... unfortunately, never took photo's of them mounted up. Looked really cool on the revo though.

yea we definetly need to hook up. i just scuffed up the chrome pretty good then painted the w/ dupli color wheel paint graphite gray and clearcoat.
 
I'll have to try that...nice tip. I do like the looks of them. Just that one off look that sets it apart from all the rest.
 
That look good. I did my rims like that for the 3.3 but i used a anadized red with a chrome lip, look great on my black cherry escalade body
 
Looks good man, I like the blue flame job ! - :thumbup: BTW, the wheels look good too.....I did the same thing to a set of Magneto wheels I have, scuffed them up with scoth-brite, then I painted them reddish maroon to match my Pro-Line Chevy Silverado HD body. I'll have to get a pic of them posted sometime.
