Well since I'm sitting here going bonkers waiting for all my new parts to arrive thought Id throw it out here and see what the opinions are. The list:

ACNCM bulkheads- got lucky and found a set on Ebay.
Black anodized T6 chassis braces
Progressive Springs
Emaxx Diffs
New Traxxas Carriers
RPM front and rear bumpers
40 weight shock oil with rebuild kit
10,000 weight dif oil for the front
OFNA dif lock lube for the rear

Was hoping to pick up RPM arms, Tit. pins, and traxxas cvds but ran out of funds for now. Thats next on the list with new skids and new body. Think I'm on the right track to a decently strong truck.:D

Sounds like your on the right track, but were does the Tit go?

:hehe:

Got the front end tore down. Time for a break :hehe: Probably wait until tomorrow to tear the the rest down. Parts wont be here til Friday anyway so might as well take my time. Do have a question on the shocks tho. Should they recoil with out the springs? Mine you slide the shaft in and there it stays til you pull it back out. Takes very little resistance to push in and the oil is full basicly to the top.

What a mess lol

With the springs off the shocks should rebound partially ,this means that the oil level is proper and that the diaphrams are doing what there designed to do,let's say 3/8 of an inch and they all should rebound the same distance, its a process, once I get close I measure one drop of oil at a time to get my shocks perfect,

Well that explains the squishy suspension. So the rebuild and new springs should take care of that.

Do yourself a favor and clean that thing while you got it all tore down knock out two birds with one stone

No kidding. Planed on it. Everthings coming off and being clean but the servos and receiver box

Squishy is because oil level is too low and you are creating air bubbles when the piston reaches the top, which turns the oil into a froth

doesn't hurt to take the caps off servos while you have them out either and look them over if they are slim on the grease add a little bit

When i bought my max the throttle servo was makin some awful noise opened it up its was completely dry added some grease and all was good

Will keep that in mind. May pull those off later tonight.

Sounds like your in for a good build man. I have dumped so much money into my project truck right now its crazy. It should be done soon though. Build threads are great. Building these rigs is just as much fun as running them, well almost LOL!!

:hehe: Yea I figured up how much I've spent then realized it was all worth it when it doesn't break on the first run of spring.

Took some time this morning to do some much needed cleaning and found a few goodies in the mailbox.

Now if only my diffs where here I could at least assemble most of it :hehe: still waiting on diffs and braces.

Woohoo! Parts. I got my emaxx diffs for mine last week and hot racing internal spider cases and built two good diffs packed with badhorsie locking lube. I'm just waiting on one more item to complete my upgrades for now and thats my THS savy manifold to fit onto the picco and THS 1/8 pipe i got on her. Diffs are holding up great thru the weekend and several tanks during the week so far. Good luck with your build my friend. Nice list of parts ya got there.

Got the shocks rebuild and found out I screwed up my order. Didn't realize I needed to packs of springs. Oh well looks like Ill me a mismatch-er. Also got the front arms and carriers mounted to the new bulks. I did noticed that the wheelie bar and RPM rear bumper wont work well together so the question is remove the stock wheelie bar or cut the piece that normally attaches to the stock bumper?
