Media day and first photo shoot on the latest variant of the Senton 2WD project. Nicknaming it 'Boost 2S'. Easy to remember. This will probably be the street runner variant.

Applied 6 coats of PS-1 White backed with PS-12 Silver to the Typhon 'Clearly Crazy' body (post #15, above). Tires are Pro-Line Icon Short Course mounted to a set of Arrma Short Course wheels - 14mm hex. Get color pictures posted once she is stickered up.

Cheers. 'AC'

Took the Typhon bodied Senton out for its first formal run yesterday. Went to my favorite speed location and set for 66ft scale 1/8mi no-prep drags.

Goal was to establish a baseline to build from. Hoping for 25mph rolling start speeds in 66ft. Fell a bit short at 39kph (24.70mph). This after a dozen or so sorting out runs on the battery so voltage was down.

Reviewing the data, run speed was peaking just beyond half-distance, ~40ft. Upgearing two teeth on the pinion for next time. While about it, will install the 48P steel spur boost kit.

In all honesty, thinking the small can 3650 4000Kv sensorless lacks the torque needed for this 6.1lb platform. May drop back to a larger can 3752 3300Kv sensorless. Have two of those in other applications and like their grunt. But for now will stay with the 4000 and see what it'll give.

P-L Icon tires hooked up well and were stable in these slow runs. Mounting up a pair of JConcepts Dotek drag tires to try as well.

Cheers. 'AC'

Finally got around to the steel gear diff install. Had to get a bit creative in half-shaft removal. Shafts on my standard hex drivers were too short for full engagement on the retaining screw. Other than that, pretty much an easy mod.

Bench test and street test out front of the house on 2S both A.O.K. Ready now she is for 3S runs.

if i painted one of these id keep the vents clear so i could se the fancy inside.
Cool build. i like it a lot. maybe a Senton roller is in my future....

Thanks, luke of the mother road. If you're a 2WD guy, then yeah, grab a Senton slider and have at it. Good thing about the Senton chassis a 4WD conversion kit is available.

Early on, made a few runs with a clear stickered body before deciding on paint. I'm a chassis guy too, so enjoyed seeing the internals. The 2.8in Demolisher tires were a bit of overkill but looked cool. Kinda squirrely on-road though.
