i am haven an issue with my sport maxx and in need of advice.. i can start my truck easily and it idles fine and runs strong for about ten min. then it starts boggin out and runs "crappy" for lack of a better word. then stalls. it then will not start. however if i take the glow plug out and turn it over for about ten seconds then put the glow plug back in it will start. i reset all the needles to factory settings and no luck. i even leaned out the hi speed and still no luck. i bought the truck used off a buddy and he has'nt ran it in a while.. it seems to get great conpression but I'm guessin it starts to flood the cylinder. and the motor seems to run hot after ten min or so as well. its a 2.5 by the way. please help.. thx

it sounds to me like it's set too lean. If, after warming up, it starts running bad and overheating, you need to richen it up. At what point does it run the worst...taking off or top end?

Eeerrrrr

well after ten min or so when you take off it putts for a second then go's. even if i got it full throttle it will stall out. then it wont start until what I'm guessin is the gas desinigrates (witch is about 20 min or so)or i pull out the glow plug and crank it over.. then it fires and runs strong again. for about 10 min....

Let it warm up and put the nose of it against something solid. Get your tuning screwdriver into the LSN and start twitching the throttle trigger while you lean it out. Little by little you should feel it coming to life. When it pushes hard, put it on the ground and run it. Do the same for the HSN at WOT. If it worsens one way, start turning it the other. Just a little at a time, and give the setting a chance to 'settle in'.

I'm goin to try that out. i hope it works.. I'm startin to get discouraged lol... ill keep ya updated ... thanks
