I recently bought a new traxxas t-maxx 3.3. I am havin two problems with it right now. I go through glo plugs like candy and i dont know if I'm running to lean or too rich but, when i full throttle it, the rpm's get really high and it starts to cut out. and i dont think it is shifting either. Help would be nicee, Thanks, Austin

running to lean back hsn out one quater turn to start

thanks

Thanks i will try that tomorow morning, anything about the glow plugs

Amen to that your running way to lean the glow plug gets way to hot and burns try richen it if you richen it, it should shift not fry glow plugs and it won't cut out when I read that I'm thinking to lean.

ok i went out this morning and i ran it and it was running lean so i couildnt figure it out becuase i backd the needle out but it didnt seem like it did anything. After that i couldnt get it started when it stalled. So i just reset the needle to factory settings(four turns out) after i turn it in all the way. it was still running lean so i backed it out more and it seemed like it was running better but then it stalled and now it wont start. My EZ Starter was getting realll hott like i couldnt even touch it so i let it cool down for a little and tried it again and still nothing. Both lights on the EZ starter are lit green so i brought the battery pack in to charge maybe that was the problem. Thanks if you help me, Austin

I went back out and found out it was flooded. so i unflooded it. I had the fuel line pinched and i tried starting it and it started fine and stalled. So i unpinched the fuel line and tried starting it and it wouldnt crank like it was flooded again. Why does it keep flooding

Put your HSN back to specs, then turn it IN about 1/2 turn.
It's your LSN that's too lean. That's the one you need to richen.
You'll also need to reset your idle as you adjust it.

usually i need to increase my idle speed a fair amount once the engine is first started and heating up. (only after the HSN and LSN are tunes) Once it reaches 200degrees i lower the idle speed until it almost feels like it will shut of any second. Than just increase it a bit and give it some throttle. If it stalls increase the idle speed and check the throttle trim.
