Hello I am new to the hobby so spare with me please. I was having no problems starting my revo and put it away one night. A couple days later I go to start it and it sounds like it is trying to fire but then sounds like the starter motor is just free spooling. Any ideas as to what is wrong, or what I should look at. Thanks Mike

generally when it sounds like the motor is free spinning it could mean that your OWB(or the proper name roller clutch, either one is fine) isn't grabbing the starter shaft. In order to fix that problem you need to remove the ez start assembly off of the back of ur engine, not hard to do at all, and once you have done that remove the owb from the ez starter and soak it in Denatured alcohol for about an hour or so and wipe the starter shaft with it too once you have done that make sure you blow out the owb with either air duster or if you have an air compressor use that, and once its dry put a VERY VERY VERY small amount of some type of synthetic oil (i use 5w-20 synthetic motor oil) use a q-tip with the cotton taken off of one side it works well for me. After you have done that it should work for you it has for me.

Thanks for the tip! I will give that a try and let you know what I come up with.

here is a trick i learned, works well in dirt areas. drill a hole (while ez cover is off)in the center of where owb lines up. the hole has to be small, the size of a wd40 spray tube. put back together. next time it happens spray a shot of wd in the hole, it clears out all the gunk and works great. no wrenching when your out playing.

that is an awesome tip...kudos to you....might even be able to drill a tad larger and maybe put like a bleeder valve cap over it to prevent dirt from entering easier?

Thanks for the tip will have to try it, if this new bearing gives me problems!
