i just bought a revo 2.5 from a friend of mine and am having problems. i replaced the right servo at a hobby shop here in houston took it home and the car has a mind of its own. i start it up it runs wants to go a bit ,then takes off (while not touching the remote)and have to pinch the fuel line to kill it. with just to truck on(not running) it will switch in between reverse and drive and the wheels turn left and right fine but when you start it it has a mind of its own .any one got ideas?? i have replaces the batteries in the remote too and nothing

sounds like you may be getting interference from something else. what kind of radio do you have? i'm assuming the stock traxxas tx/rx?

no its not the stock one its an airtronix mx-3 when i was running it it was at my house me being the only one with a car i also later on was driving my tmaxx3.3 around and was having no problems at all

It sounds as though it's getting little or no signal from your transmitter. Start by replacing all the batteries in the Tx AND the Rx. If it still gives you the same problem check the antenna wire to make sure it hasn't been broken off.

Tx is transmitter, Rx is reciever. Make sure your pipe and manifold aren't banging together inside the pipe coupler too.

Also the MX-3 radio is not compatible with a few servos out there. It's a great radio, I loved the one I had. Make sure the Radio and rx crystal is firmly in place, sometimes they get knocked loose. They also go bad, rare but it happens. A new set of crystals will run around 20 bucks. My MX-3 was FM btw, I think they all are.

ok then the Tx and Rx there all new and recharged and if the pipe and manifold are banging together inside the pipe coupler what does that have to do with it like sezuring?

yea i can't change the chrystals on the controler and the truck bc there not fm and like i stated earlier that the remote does work with the truck when its not running only when the truck is electrically on now i know there is 2 servos in the truck on being replaced already do u think the other one needs to be reset or replaced and whats the easiest way to reset a servo if thats a possibility

Are you turning on the truck in the same geographic location? Physically go somewhere, preferably somewhere not in the heart of the big ole' city you live in. The airwaves are rife with EMI. To rule out EMI take the truck out to a field... one without high tension power lines and turn in on there. See if it is still spazzing.

If the pipe and header are vibrating together it can screw with the radio. They need to have a small gap between them.
