I am haveing a problem with my roto-start.I just bought a Savage 25 about a week ago and I am already haveing trouble with my roto-start. When I plug in the battery the roto-start starts working all by itself. I have taken the red button off the roto-start to see if it would work and it does. Do you think the button was just stuck, and do you know of a way I could make it so I could have the button on and the roto-start wouldn't work by itself? Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Powerman

crap!

hi matey, i would go with the pull start. i know so many people that have the same prob as you, button sticking! it happened to me. get yourself a glove and pull that pull start! becides the roto start is hassle to carry around and its just another battery to to charge. try the pull start bud, see how you go.

I JUST USE MY DRILL PULL OUT THE SHAFT CHUCK IT IN A DRILL AND RUN THE DRILL IN REVERSE,IF YOU USE A GOOD DRILL THE BATTS WILL LAST FOREVER,BYE BYE ROTO START,GOOD LUCK!!

hb1111- caps off there buddy. Please its like yelling and is difficult to read. The drill is a good idea as well. I use m drill when the rotostart on my buddies savage is not working.

Power--Its the button man. Hey are notoriuos for getting stuck. Do yourself a favor and go to bump start or pull start. the time you go to repairingg/replacing you could have gotten a pullstart motor or a starter box. My buddies is always sticking. He bought about 5 of them I think and they all suck. He bashes all the time . I have been trying to convince the guy to convert. they are convenient but a biotch to maintain.

Good Luck

Yeah I have been useing my dad power drill. The only problem is you have to watch what you do with it, because the drill you easily screw somthing up. I poped the "red button" off of my roto-start and it seems to be working good.

Thanks,

sorry about the caps I'm not a good typer i typed most of it out then i realized it was on caps lock so i said hell ill just send it anyway instead of re typing it out,i bought one of those parahnna batts 1500 charged it once tried starting my .25 for break in and it was dead so fast i said forget it now i use a makita drill with a 14.4 nickel metal bat. never fails just hope the back plate holds up.....Aloha

hb1111- No prob Bro Yeah I love my milwaukee 18 drill

Power-- I did the same thing but to really find out id to get a voltmeter and see if there is continuity when not pressing the button. The button I checked looked right but the continuity was there. Not a good thing. this wore the motor and gears out so now he uses a drill. the rotostart SUX.
