ha!! I'm not dropping that much $$ on the boys rig. hell i barley even get to drive it! i may just get another titan.. sucks though cause they have such short lives.

Yeah, I hear that. There's got to be a motor that's better and won't break the bank or the batteries! I ran a 16t double years ago in my same truck and I remember it shredded! That was on cheap 7 cells. I'm thinking maybe a 15t double 540 would be a better performance choice. I would like to hear it from a staffer first to be sure, though.

so do the 540's have better performance then the 550's?

should i go with a 540 and get a 15t or find a 550 12t?

I'm thinking with 540 size cans, you have more options. 550's make more torque, I think. For example, I changed my pinion from 25t to 16t thinking I would have a wheelie monster. Not the case. My truck really wasn't any quicker, either. Electronics ran super cool, but that was the only advantage. Had my slipper locked, too. With the 25t gear, it's almost as quick, and never struggles to get to top end. The motor winds up just about as fast, moving the truck easily. I'm not sure what would be best for ya. I want more rpm's. FASTER!

Hey, beason. Let me check a link Sweetdiesel gave me. It's for a 550 motor off of ebay for $25. It solved the problem ten-fold, and it's FAST. Hold on a second; I'll dig it up for ya.
