i finally got it on tuesday and i can't get it to stay running. its getting gas and everything, has a new glow plug. it starts right up every time but then when i go to give it alittle gas it just stalls. it idles fine and everything, am i just not letting it warm up enough or is it a adjustment problem? and the motor is fully broken )

anyone? i would like a response so i can try again tonight before it starts raining again

you get gas spewing out of the exhaust? If so, your running to rich. Best bet would be to go back to factory settings and go from there. Also be sure to take out your glow plug, flip over the truck and let the raw fuel blow out of the cylinder. Then put the glow plug back in try again.

ya gas spews out of the exhaust. should i put the lsn back to the factory setting of 3 turns from closed because i have no idea of wat it is on now. i have the hsn on 3 turns from closed right now

and i just found the problem, the person that had it before me had the lsn set at 6 turns out from closed! i think he was worried about running lean

there you go.

Wheneber you have a problem like this its best to start from a known point. The factory needle settings are a very good place to start. But in any case, if the engine in flooding at any time its a sure indication that your running too rich.
