hey guys i just got a new LRP30x got it in my savage n broke it in, when i went to tune it to run it wont make very much power from a stop. seems ok in high rpm? i run VP 30% n a #5 plug. seems to be gettin a little hot. its hot outside but my 4.6 runs super good. i know this motor has a ton ton ton of power because my buddy has the exact same setup and it freakin tears.
please help it with def be appriciated.

Is this engine supposed to run on 30%? what company #5 plug? slipper clutch adjusted right? could be anything, make sure your brakes are adjusted right and not dragging.

Yes they run just fine on 30% and a #5 think think he is using an OS A5 or R5 which is a cold plug. I found that my LRP .30 was very picky on exhaust. It is a very high flow engine so most pipes are too restrictive. Mine ran pretty decent on the JP-2 pipe, but even better on the ERCM side bleed. Until I figured that out it ran like crap and did nothing but overheat.

thanks for all the info and I'm runnin r5 plug and the motor dont make sense because my boss has the same header and muffler and clutch bell and spur everything is exactly the same an his rips like crazy

Have you got plenty of airflow to engine. Bigger hole in windshield and back glass area for cooling? I had to cut more ventilation for my tmaxx and revo after changing engines and flow seemed to help a good bit.
