I just got back from a little bashing session and about every tank or so, I'd have to re-tighten the big nut on the Pro-Line Steering system. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to stop it from loosening up? I'd rather not put any locktite on it...After all, the whole idea is that it is adjustable to suit the conditions. Any suggestions would be appreciated--TIA!

Is it the nut that compresses the spring?? If so, you may have to use the threadlock...

Yep, that's the one...

Unfortunately, they do loosen up after a few sessions... I used blue locktite myself, but maybe the plumbers teflon tape would be a better idea.. The threads are so fine, that the locktite will really jam things up later on...

That's why I don't really want to use loctite--I don't want anything TOO permanent. The teflon tape sounds like a good idea, I'll try that and see how it works. Thanks Plaidfish!
