RC Driving Style
I have a traxxas nitro sport and I'm having problems tuning it. It is pretty new, not even a gallon of fuel ran through it. I adjusted the hsn and it was running great! I was driving it around and about 2-3 min later, it just doesn't want to move in really any throttle position then it will just stall. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong and not sure how to fix it.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Check the glow plug,it may be time for new, also is there a lot of smoke from the exaust? If no then the problem is the fact that you r too lean, which would be why it only runs good for a few minutes,so check the plug, note what it looks like, then richen up the hsn a halve turn and see how she does

I already thought of changing the glow plug which I did. It still does the same thing. There is smoke soming out ouf the exaust, and in the begining when it is running good, some fuel comes out as well. Does that mean its running rich? Also the weather here in NY is kinda cold like 40ish. I'm not sure if that would affect anything? I'm running 20% sport fuel. When i pinch the fuel line to shut it off, it takes 2 and a half - three seconds to shut off.

Thanks

Sounds a little lean on the bottom but close, and yes the weather does have an effect, cold air is more dense and contains more ppm of oxygen, which requires a richer setting, where about in ny are you from?

OK, well maybe if i get the chance ill try doing that tomorrow. I'm not sure if ill be able to with all of this freezing air coming in, but ill give it a try. I am about an hour and a half north of NYC.

Keep in mind the with the colder air the smoke your seeing maybe be including steam and could be more steam than smoke. Sounds like your a little lean on both. Any clue on temps when its cutting out? If it over heats it will cut out. Did you try to restart after this? if so did it start back up right away? good sign of overheating if it doesn't .

We've already been thru the slipper adjustment aspect, lol

so i was finally able to run the car today. i made the car rich, adjusting high and low speed needle and at first it was obviously to rich down low. i leaned the low speed by about a quarter turn, and bam.... it was perfect. i ran it through a tank of fuel without stalling and was idling fine. the temp was about 225-230ish at the plug. Thanks for all your help!
