priming problems

hey everyone i am having a problem priming my gas to my rc on road car a. i put my thumb over the carb and give the pull start a few pulls but it doesn't want to pump any gas through.

why could this be and how should i go about fixing it??

I've had the same problem. check the seal at the top of the tank, around your fill cap. if that seal is no good, or the tank isnt sealed around the cap, you wont get a prime.

I always thought you put your thumb over the exhaust tip.

hey that work good just took the car out for a cain and after about ten mins the clutch spring broke so looks likeill have ta put a new 1 in

it works either way on exhaust or carb

Where would you cover on the carb?

i missed the part bought the carb.. i thought you were covering the exhoust inlet.. i think thge carb thing may be a little bit of a pain, considering you have to take the airfilter off and all. i always pinch the singer at the end of the exhoust

yea i cover the exhaust as well

Rotate the moor up near TDC and blow into the exhaust stinger. Fuel will flow right to the carb. You can also pull the pressure line from the pipe and blow directly into the pressure line.
