ok, so this may be a stupid question but i am haveing some trouble with it. I am having trouble getting fuel from the tank to the engine without a primer. So naturally it wont start. This is my first non-priming tank so i dont know to much about it.

Hold your finger tip over the stinger and give a few tugs on the pull starter. If the fuel line you are using is clear wait until you see fuel reach the carb.

What savage do you own? The .21? If you do where did you get the new fuel tank?
 
You can also pull the pulse line off the muffler and blow into it pressurising the fuel line to the carb. Just be carefull not to blow too much and flood the engine.
 
Mcvick, most likely he has the Savage .25, it has the new primerless tank. I really can't believe that HPI is not including the new tank with the rear pickup and no primer in all the kits. The SS and 21 still come with the front pickup, primer tank.
 
if you can't get it to start with finger on the exhaust and a tug then get an OFNA Inline Primer.. won't create bubbles..

I appologize that this is off-topic, but I thought it was important.

Did you know that that many of the Savage 25 RTR trucks have been having backplate problems? HPI is fixing the problem. If you have a red X on the bottom of your box, HPI has fixed it. If you don't, you need to take the backplate off the engine and loctite the screws in (or have your hobby shop do it).

Again, sorry for getting off topic, I just always think about this when new people get that truck. I read that it's quite the problem.
