Well here is my latest upgrade for my Maxx. Sold my Big Bores and various spring sets in favor of the ProLine Powerstroke Shock Kit. I must say these suckers are beefy compared to the Big Bores.

Gotta fluid them up and get them installed.

BTW, I was reading in RC Nitro (Static X on the cover) about them and they say you need to remove the engine and fuel tank to access the front of the rear shock tower. This is BS since it is much easier to just remove the shock tower itself.

Let us know how they work out for you. I've been eyeballing those myself.

mmmm...beeeeefffyyy... They look awesome. Tell us how they work for sure!

Good review. I like how he mentioned they made him look like a good driver.

I could definitely use something like that.

I'm taking off my power strokes to run the shocks i bought from you,i blew out one of the dampers on like a 3 foot jump and a few cartwheels I'm not to sure which blew it out but i still need to fix it I'm hoping the lower cap just came loose but well see

Where was the damper that blew mounted?

I mounted on on the right rear on the front of the shock tower and man is it close to the ez start back plate plastic housing. I can't even mount it on the inside holes on the a-arm without hitting it. If the one that blew was mounted in the same place, then it may have hit the housing if the shock tower flexed enough and caused a problem.

BTW, I am also using RPM arms and shock towers and I can say that there is no way a larger diameter shock spring will fit through the RPM arms. These were a tight fit.

Do they recommend installing the bypass shocks to the inside of the towers? (regardless of position mounting)

Do you have front spring shocks leading and rear spring shocks trailing?

Springed shocks are leading in the front and trailing in the rear. Proline did not recommend anything so I just followed the advice in the RC Nitro review.

I just read the review rccaraction gave them and they sound great. There dampening and spring systems supposedly really work. Also a guy who had them said he did the 6' drop test and the truck handled it fine with no bottoming out. This was with the 30wt oil the shocks come with. I kno my stockers couldn't do that w/ 45wt oil. They are definetly gonna be my next shocks.

If you are asking me, nothing actually went wrong with the damper. The outside diameter is just large and sits kinda close to the EZ Start backplate.

I think hb1111 actually had his powerstrokes mounted on a savage when his damper blew. It would be nice to know what went wrong with it.

Yeah I want some, but would like to know if I'm going to be fighting with them every time I run, or if they are awsome, and I should buy some today. I know my stock Maxx shocks are hit. I rebuilt them once, and they need it again. I know at least one of them has a bent shaft, and would like to upgrade them soon instead of rebuild them again.
