I thought that the shocks were the same but Hardcore just made a mini shock tower for them to bolt up.. am I mistaken..?

I have them on my maxx, these look exactly the same. (at least in the picture)

I'd still have to go with aluminum upgrade shocks instead of those, for the savage at least. The shocks are so long, I can't justify installing a shock half the length of the stock one.

They are the same shocks. It's the tower that enables them to work on the savage. Nova towers will work too. What they don't tell you is that the stock Powerstroke springs are not strong enough for a truck as heavy as the savage. You will also need to upgrade to the heavier shock set. I believe they are the black and white ones. I had to to the upgrade when I mounted them on my MGT
