Hey I'm kinda new to this rc thing so i'm looking for some help. I have a T-Maxx 3.3 and have replace a fair amount of parts but i can't figure this one out. The radio signal only picks up if i'm about 30 feet or less from it. I checked the antenna wire and put fresh batteries in the transmitter, not sure where to go from here.

The wire may be broke inside the transmitter that attaches to the metal antenna. Look for brakes and frays in the receiver antenna, too. If you cut any access wire off of the receiver wire, that could do it. If your running a 4aa battery holder to power the electronics, this could compromise range also.

i found a break in the wire, not the whole wire just the insulation, taped it and nothing different. When i first got the truck i wouldn't ever loose signal.

These problems can be a real pain to track down. If you have access to another radio and receiver, try using the 2nd rx first to see if it's the problem. If it isn't, try the radio. You may need to pick up a new receiver. Transmitters rarely fail, but the receiver sees a lot of vibration.

my 2.5 was doin this and it was the receiver the whole time. it would get like 30 foot from me and would go balls to the wall and i couldnt do anything but watch and see where it went
