I debated which one to get recently (still haven't pulled the trigger)...but for the extra 35 bucks the Hudy station is WAY slicker.....the PMB set is almost identical to the older Hudy sets....I saw them both (new ond old Hudy) next to each other and the new aluminum one is alot smoother to use......but the PMB wasn't like it was a PITA to use either...
SE RC sells em for around 110 but I didn't find it on their site....ask bruce what he can get em for but I think it really is worth the extra if you're going to get a station anyway....and I went to a local plexi installer and got a block of bulletproof plexi for the base...I know that's not going to warp....Ever...

a couple of years ago i purchased one for 100? or so with out the mat. I was not impressed wit the slop in the parts leading to less the accurate settings. I do not know the brand of the product though. you could get a couple of different readings each time you pushed the buggy doen to reset the suspension. I would not invest in one.

I too looked into picking one up, but it just seems like a waste of money for offroad racing.. The settings for an offroad buggy will not nearly be as critical as say an onroad car. Unless your planning to race at the Worlds, I'd say just use the ol eye...

I never really thought of getting one for the exactness of tweaking my buggy...more for the speed of doing it after you tear it down.....it takes like 5 mins to do it w/ the station......if I race again this year I will be getting one and a break-in stand.....I like convenience and this seems to be purely that....not necessary but nice to have if you can.....

Thats what i was thinking!
If you tear it down after every race day it will save time...With set up...

I've got a PMB for my 1/10th on-road. It's not bad, reading the tickmarks on the clear plexi can be a little hard but all in all I find it to be a nice setup. I debated on getting one for 1/8th for the same reason Plaid said, tearing the whole thing down and re-assembly.

Jet, On the clear marks....take flourescent orange paint..or green/blue/red...just something really bright.....wipe it on the plastis parts on teh side it's scored....then wipe the excess off the flat parts...I think you use DA and wipe it clean...but leave the paint in the grooves...the one I used the guy did that to and it made it alot easier to use.....
