plug fouling

hey,
I was driving my savage and i had just hit 2nd gear when it stalled like a millino feet a way from me. Anyways, after lugging it back to my tools, i put in a different company plug. Do colder plugs and hotter plugs have different tuning characteristics? Also, will running rich make me foul 4 plugs in 10 minutes?]

Well, my stock plug lasted me about 3 months. I'm on my second one since March.... Run it fairly often. How does the plug look when you look at the bad one? Are the coils kind of a twisted spiral? Can you see a seperation in the coil? Is the ring black? Take a picture of one bad one if you can.... You may be running a bit too rich.. What are your temps looking like?

Very rich settings can foul-out the plugs.
Outside temps have a lot of bearing on the different temp glow plugs. Cold outside = hotter plug and vice versa. Also, larger engines like medium to cold plugs, and smaller engines like meduim to hot plugs. I run all meduim myself.
I think the carb settings will be a little more rich for a hot plug and a little more lean for a cold plug.
