Hey everyone thank you for looking at my post..I have a 2.5 t-maxx, and my transmition is messed up, I think..I thought at first it was my clutch. So i took my engine off and put it on my other truck and it ran great..So that wasn't the problem. What happens is, when i give it throttle it dont move until i get about 3/4 throttle then it moves real slow..What can it be..Please i need help.

Check your slipper clutch first. Set it a quarter turn shy of tight for a starting point. Use blue locktite on the nut if it comes loose often. You may want to give the plates a light sanding to clean them up.

o ok...never thought of that..But if that isnt it..what else could it be...Cause my truck isnt here..My buddy is working on it for me

ok thank you..I also have a spare transmission i threw on it and it make a weird like grinding noise, but it does move..any idea what can be wrong with that one

Are the gears meshed correctly? The clutch bell and the spur. As little amount of play as possible all the way around the gears, while having a tiny amount of play all the way around the gears. It should spin smoothly, but with just the tiniest amount of play.

yea i no what you mean, but this noise is inside the transmition, its just an awful grinding noise.

also tht transmission i have in it now were u said to tighten my slipper clutch...Could that smell like a burnt clutch...Cause i really smoked it
