2 weeks ago my Traxxas T-Maxx was running better then ever, now its over heating, cutting out when i give it a good burst of throttle, and its dying!

I got my heat gauge after running a couple good laps around my yard and it was running at 290 to 305 and that's really hot! It was so hot after running it that its started to smoke out of the engine!

I'm not really running it lean either. There is a good cloud of smoke coming out of the exhaust pipe.

I've had this truck for about 5 years now and I've already replaced one engine and i don't want to replace another one!

Can someone help me???

It sounds to me like it's too lean on the LSN. Seeing good smoke at WOT does not mean everything is tuned correctly.
A lean LSN will always create an overheat that NOTHING on the HSN can correct. Start to richen the LSN about 1/16 of a turn, do a few runs and get it warmed up. When it's up to temp, see how it goes from a dead stop. If necessary, richen it a hair more till you get good bottom end power without bogging or cutting out. Keep a close eye on the temps.

Ok thanks a lot man, ill try that out and see how that works!

I'm gonna try and tune it in good with the flow chart you have on here!

Thats exactly what i did yesterday and i hope it helps out a lot! Thanks:)
