well guys, been using my savage alot lately.. and starting it SUCKS! takes forever to start, usually kill the battery in the roto start. can somone give me some tips or tell me whats wrong, it is rather cold outside 5 celsius but used to start amazing thanks for the help guys !

The colder weather makes it harder to start because the internals of the engine are contracted. I personally don't run my fleet in the cold but if you do then the motor needs to heated up prior to starting by using a hair dryer. As for the roto start I ditched mine on my savage xl and went to pull start. The pull starter is so much easier to use and it's less you have to bring with you when you want to run.

+1 on pre heating. Makes first start up much easier. I use a heat gun every time i first start all my nitro engines. Usually after priming fuel to carb and heating with gun to around 180 mine start within 1-3 pulls everytime.

Cold wether also requires richer carb settings. Preheat as advised and richen the lsn a tad.

Turns out a small part in the OWB was missing and glow plug igniter battery was out, after that starts instantly
