hi there I'm a complete noob to rc cars and I've bought a ansmann virus 2.0 and i can't start it I've checked the glow plug its fine but when the glow plug is in the pull cord wont move easily and jerky but turns the engine fine when the glow plug is removed i thought i flooded the engine with fuel so turned upside down and pulled the cord till the fuel in the engine came out i checked the carb gap and got bout 1-2mill there so thats fine any suggestions please???

Have you performed an antivirus scan to remove any infections?

And I'd possibly try leAn out the lsn a touch. It's prob too rich and just flooding

how long you think i should leave it upside down? pulled the start a few times now i've left it to leak excess fuel before i try again

a couple pulls when its upside down will do the job. you dont need to let it all drop out. some fuel in there is ok as it will ignite. and +1 with heat up the block.

just use a hair dryer for 60sec or so on the block.

still wont go, pull start really stiff

looks like little pock mark on piston corrosion maybe?? its brand new tho

Loosen the glow plug to let some compression bleed off while starting it. When it starts tighten it back up.
It's tight because it's new and hasn't been broken in yet.

will do thanks alot gotta wait for golw plug to charge and try some more

got it started but 3 times first time it didnt stall sounded quite rough when touched accelerator it cut out tho, the other times it started then died in seconds more help please! thanks a lot!

hsp warheaqd

i got my warhead on wednesday and put it through a betin (dont know why u all say its crap i put it through heaps first time i started i ddi a 4ft jump and landed on its roof i have been doing that since i got it everyday) i floged it up the road and back and the front axle fell out and me and my brother snaped the pull start so i need 2 of them. where can i get these parts

yeah thanks matt got her turning when i pulled it eventually leaned her out a bit and she started :-) running really rough and a few stalls but i got her going without stalling and run her in :-) took it really slow (if that is possible) put about 10 tanks throughbut its still really rough stalls when i take the glow plug out unless i rev it up as i take it out it doesn't like going from idle and accelerating got lots of fuel spitting from the exhaust, also if i lean the LSN it stalls in idle if I'm Getting in a pickle with the HSN can't figure it out i think i got the gap about perfect in the carb so gonna leave that, but starting first pull most of the time so thanks guys for help with that!! any tuning tips would be greatly appreciated plz

Well I am by no means and expert but from past trial and error I've realized that the HSN also controls how much fuel gets into the carb and engine at any given time. If it is spitting fuel lean the HSN some.
