When my diffs are completely assembled, i am getting some play (about1/8") in my pinion gear. when i pull it outward the gears move like butta, when i push it in and turn it they click and bind up pretty bad. One is locked and one is open and they both do the same thing. Is this normal or am i missing something?

well i went to take a video and it made a liar out of me. Its worked smoothly no matter what. I get the new MIP cvd's tommorow so we'll see what happens.

basically imagine you are holding a fully assembled differential, complete with diff cups. Hold the diff in one hand and grab the diff cup attached to the pinion. Pull on it while you turn it. (mine is nice and smooth) Now push on the pinion diff cup and turn it. (mine was binding up and popping)

Agree with NC. 1/8" is a ton of play. Get a diff shim kit and shim it so that it doesn't move that much. And make sure you shim it so it's pulling the gear out as that seems to be the best spot for it to work.

well i got it all assembled after 4 hours of work and everything looks good but i can't get the .18tm to start. I am gonna put it back to the factory settings and see if i can get it going.

It looks AWESOME!!
