Platinum Radio Box...

So, I am slowly upgrading my 2.5. I thought I would ask if the platinum radio box will fit the 2.5 and if I can still use the smaller tank until I can get the new one?

if your going to replace the radio box, i would sugest the tekno stuff. very nicely built and sturdy. plus you can use whatever tank you want!

I changed mine to the platinum box and also changed the tank. oh yeah,,, I owe you a picture too.

I just checked to see if the old tank would fit and it would be a yes according to the mounting posts. the new tank is just taller.

Great! I got one from my LHS and installed it as soon as I got home. It is very slick! I don't have the personal transponder but the club I race at has some to use. I drilled out the mount to accept it so no more extra holes in the bodys! That thing is slick. I also mounted the platinum air filter. I have the techno servo mount so I had to do some rigging to get the support to work but it is there now! Now for the platinum body and everything will be mint!

Ebay has them from $20-$30 but your lhs may have them too and they are $8-$9 there. Tower must have them by now as well.

As for the camera what he told us was that he was going for the camera. What he didn't tell us was that he has to walk across the country to get it. hehehe

You can also order it from buytraxxas.com, thats where I got all my Platinum stuff.

Hope it helps, Maybe you'll have better luck with the Big Block Mount than me.
