Nope, you're right. Using 1/4" ply is very flexible. Cut the 1/2" sides with 2 straight edges (bottom and side) and then cut the long edge with a curve. Then I assembled it like a frame with a couple 2x4 crossmembers to hold the sides in place. Then just screw the face down to the frame. As you do it, the face will curve to match the curve you cut. And yes, it does give one hell of a launch for a small ramp. If I were to change it, the only thing I would do is make it wider. Even though I cut 2 ramps, I usually clamp them together because it's hard to hit just 1 with my Maxx.
