is there a site or anything that tells how to make a kicker. i want to build a good solid one , keep it wide enough that i can hit it (not the best of driver) but keeping it light enought that i can throw it on the back of my truck and haul it with me. any suggestions.

You can always go buy a skatboard ramp. It's already made and daves you the effort of making one out of wood.

alright thanks, that does sound a lot easier, and i have no tools to make a ramp anyway, so i don't know what i was thinking.

Here you go... It might be worth borrowing a buddy's saw/tools. Just be safe and dont hit the bottle first :wasted:

You can vary the plan however you want it and look, It's 4 feet wide so you should be able to hit it!

EVEN if you have been hitting the BOTTLE. :wasted:

Oh yea, It might help if I post the link.... http://www.nitromonkey.com/rampplans.shtml

Now on a lighter note..... Arent you guys proud of me? I got lit :burp: and made it a point to stay off of RCNT the other night. I think. Or maybe I just couldnt find my way home... I dunno. I forgot.

:thankyou:

That looks like a pretty simple ramp to build. And it's collapsable so it's easy to transport. I made my own out of some 1/2" ply for the sides and 1/4" ply for the top. And just used some 2x4 for bracing between. From one sheet of each ply I was able to make 2 ramps that look like this:

very nice iv been wanting to make a ramp for my self too i think i like candy mans better though. Itll give the perfect launchage.lol

How do you get the plywood to bend(the top piece) like that candyman?

THe plywood is only 1/4 inch thinck so i think thats how. I'm pretty sure, may be wrong though.

Nope, you're right. Using 1/4" ply is very flexible. Cut the 1/2" sides with 2 straight edges (bottom and side) and then cut the long edge with a curve. Then I assembled it like a frame with a couple 2x4 crossmembers to hold the sides in place. Then just screw the face down to the frame. As you do it, the face will curve to match the curve you cut. And yes, it does give one hell of a launch for a small ramp. If I were to change it, the only thing I would do is make it wider. Even though I cut 2 ramps, I usually clamp them together because it's hard to hit just 1 with my Maxx.

Ok here is how We build ours
ramp.jpg

It cost about $15 to build those to ramp
THe smaller one actually gets your higher than the bigger one.
Sorry it is so blury

thats sweet ill have to make my self one i have tons of scrap wood at my house.

you can also use 1/2 pvc pipe to build the frame for a ramp doing it that way you can make it so you can ajust it to the height you want it

parts list
8 elbows
4 t's
4 8 foot 1/2 in. pipes
1 6 foot 3/4 in. pipes
2 nails
1 4foot by 4 foot of 3/8 plywood
2 hinges
make 2 4x4 frames with 1/2 pipe on one side of both of them put the t's in use the 3/4 in. pipe and a piece of the 1/2 in pipe to make a slide but the hinges on the other side then put the plywood on when done you will have a ramp that you can make as high as you want i got this one of Jay Leno last night i hope ever one likes it

thats cool, what was jay leno needing a ramp for? like waht was he jumping?

well i made a ramp for my buggy the only flaw is its not to wide, lets say the buggy is 15in the ramp is only about 16.5-17in. Guess ill have to perfect my driving skills,LOL thats gonna take a while.

Hey, well i built it and the first time i tried to jusm on it it shattered guess i should make one sturdier. It wasn't made very well but i thought id work guess not, LOL man did that thing shatter wood everywhere.

does anyone know how i would go at building a jump like they have on the farm bash 7 video from smf. i like how wide that one is and that it can fold.

all i do is just thow a huge piece of plywood over some cinderblocks, that way i can adjust the angle, and the width. Oh and it take 13 second to build, minus the time to get supplies. Being lazy rules, with the money you save, go and buy your self an ice cream or lemonade
