So my neighbor got a smart Tech car for Christmas and we have been trying to break it in. Needless to say it is a rattle trap. Things are loose, not sealed, and and even stripped. (I'm not so sure he didn't strip things however)

We need to replace the pivot balls. I measured the ball (turns out to be 9mm) Is that the correct way to find out what size to get?
 
I'm not sure but I seem to remember smart techs using oddball threads and sizes on all their screws.....you would probably have better luck bringing it to a commercial grade machine shop to get screws for it.....
 
Hmmm, I don't know if this one is that bad off yet. I agree there are some odd ball parts included but I think as long as I can find the right side I can make the rest of it work.
