Ok engine guyz, here is some trivia for you!!!

The mach26 engine mainly found in an aftershock and the mach27 engine mostly found in a losi8 or LST2.
Now the piston and sleeve inside the mach27 engine, is it the same size as the piston and sleeve for the mach26 and or would it fit inside the mach26 engine with now difficulty or concerns with performance?

P.S. (I think i may have ordered the piston for the LST2 engine for those who want to know the reason for this trivia) I need to rebuild now and can't wait another 10 days for an order!!! LMAO

I won't say it will fit but the mach427 is a .26 engine so there's a chance.

just got off the phone with my losi dealer, and sorry but no, it will not fit. The 427 is a LITTLE BITTY BIT bigger. And its a totally different setup.

sh!t, really huh....wow that really sucks!! THX any guys.
Back t ordering parts I guess :constipat

I know for a fact that the old Mach .26 sleeve fist in the mach 427.

ya i asked losi also, and a few hobby shops and the 427 internals dont fit because it has a longer stroke and is a tiny bit of a bigger bore...

you can fit the .26 piston in the 427 but it will definately not run correct at all and vise versa, you can modify the 27 sleeve to fit in the .26 but when it heats up you may run into trouble....

when it come s to engine modification stick to modifying your crankshaft and nothing else, modifying the sleeve and piston in your engine if you are not an experienced professional is very risky

i have ported and polished 3 of my old sleeves for practice and have all looked considerably good, clean, even, and correct but i highly doubt they would have ran very well, or got much more power...

puls the 427 has about the same amount of hp as the .26
