I want to upgrade my stock plastic pipe to a better one. I want something that will had more power but not too loud....are there any?

quiet and performance don't mix unless you spend much dough.....I liked that slimeline dual exhaust on my maxx...cheap not to loud and if you put those rubber exhaust extenders on it your truck stays WAY cleaner....probably not the best pipe for the maxx if you race but it's a good basher pipe.....if you want more power save up and get an O.S. 18 but you'll still need to upgrade your pipe for that too....

Well I'm looking for a cheap upgrade if possible. Loud or not loud....whats a good recommendation?

I recommend the Sirio Big Bore pipe or the Ritter pipe. Had both and worked great for the 2.5 and the Sirio 23.

The Sirio Big Bore is really nice, The Ritter one claims to have MPH gains, But not a gaping awe amount, It looks a little strange to me haha, I'd save up and buy the O.S. 18 and The Sirio Big bore, IMO.

Ritter Carbon Fiber Pipe- $ 75.99

Sirio Big Bore Pipe- $ 49.99-59.99 (Depends where)

Those are my suggestions, I hope you can find a good pipe, But if your new to this truck, Just run it and get used to it first.

i see from your other post that your new to the hobbie and wont have your maxx till monday....in my oppion i say drive & love it the way it is at first.(except for the aftermarket cooling head id get that before i even ran it)..the tmaxx is a pretty fast monster truck exspessaly for a newbe ...when you get used to it then think about upgrades

thats my 2 cents

Hardcore Racing Mutant head is awesome as well!

dude just drive it til it breaks then fix it w/ better parts.....I found if you don't cover the head w/ a different body that it is sufficient to learn w/ .....then get a good engine pipe combo later....if you buy a head for the stock engine, when you go to get a badass one you're stuck w/ a useless head...I hate useless head.......and that money could have gone to the better engine in the first place......save your cash learn about the truck w/ the stock stuff and when you get enough cash to get one buy an O.S. 18....you will be much happier w/ the long term goal rather than piss your money away on something you don't need right out of the box......the truck is pretty tough as is......learn how to tune w/ the stock stuff first...they design it so it will be easier for beginners....

your new with your car rght. get fuel filters and new air filter.
One of the best air filter would be the motersaver. I'm not to sure about fuel fillters though. i just have a cheep duratraxx one.

yeah they are they are a little easier to tune cause your in the middle of the needle setting where as the motor saver you need to be really closer to the rich side cause it allows more air to be forced into the carb...
