ok i have a hyper 7 8 port.when i go to shut it down.it wants to stay running for like 8 to 10 sec. shouldn't it be like 3 to 4 secs.if so .should i lean out lsn.a little?right now my buggy is running preety good a little sluggish off the start.but not bad.250 to 300 on the temps...

Leaning out the LSN seems as if it would take care of the issue.
Only go 1/16th of a turn at a time and run it for a few minutes before re-adjusting it.

Let us know.

Sounds like your pinching your line to shut it down. Put your shoe on the flywheel.

250 to 300 on the temps...

Looks a little lean to me on the top. Unless you put a small block in your buggy. But I dont let my big blocks get past 250 for bashing around. Seems like your lean on top and rich on bottom. Keep the temps on top under 250, then start leaning your bottom out. 3 secounds is what I aim for with the pinch test. Try that out and let us know.

thats ok to do it won't hurt anything? i did pinch to shut down a couple of times.exuast coupler came apart.solved that one and bought a .086 ofna pipe. but iam tuneing to get that perfection.w/the 8 port.so you think 250 to 300 is to much heat.300 is when iam beating the crap out of it roasting my buddys 9.5 v..... lol.

Yeah, I dont let my "mill" get past 260. If I were racing, Id let it get up to 300. When my "mill" is in the high 200's it really screams.

put your shoe on the flywheel. When you pinch the line, you lean your "mill" out and for a split secound the engine runs with none or very little fuel. That means no lubricant and that means bad for your "mill."

Theres a good tut somewhere on the internet(i know thats not much help) that can show you how to do the pinch test. I just pinch right in the middle of my fuel line. Then I tune it so that it dies 2-3 secounds.

so 2 to 3 secs.ill do some tweeken on it this weekend to get it there.iam still spitting out a good smoke trail.maybe not enougf

This is a Hyper 8 port? I have one in my Savage. I would not worry about the temps if they are in the 250-270 range. That is about the sweet spot for these engines. Going up to 300 for racing might be okay, but I'd not do that on a regular basis...unless you intend to buy a new engine pretty quickly.

As for the rest, seems to be covered.

ya tend to run the poop out of it. hard runs 300 but just jumping &bashing around 250 to 280 in temps(i did just bid on a new mill on flea bay)
