Love the work TJ. Especially the purple one. Nothing like a nice, shiny new body. I'm so freaking compulsive sometimes I give them a coat of auto wax when I'm done....

As soon as I start a paint job, I'm just dying for that moment when you can peel back that protective coating.... lol Thanks for the props... Your rides are lookin killer like always... That chrome job, is givin me the itch for a new lid.... lol

Tell me about it. I have like 10 new colors in my bin that I haven't sprayed yet. But my LHS sucks for body stock. So I am just waiting for a chance to order a few to paint up and auction off.

That a sweet T-Maxx is that a fj40 landcruiser body? Looks very clean does it have many upgrades?

fj40? I don't know. Landcruiser? Yes.

That pic is from last summer. It has an allum. bulk head, and skid plate in the front(Dynomite). Titanium middle skid plate(HCR), Dynomite steering ackerman/servosaver kit, Hitec 645 steering servo, Jr 270 thottle, jr rs300 Rx, dynomite cvd's (all 6), GH cooling head, MIP header, Traxxas allum. pipe, powerstroke shocks, and not yet installed, but in the parts drawer are RRP FOC, and primary gear. That's all I can think of now.

I need to sell some of my extra parts on ebay so I can buy a new body for mine and try my luck with my airbrush and see what kind of cool paint job, do you have any tips that might help me out I'm thinking of something with flames and will look good with my purple aluminum.

Wow tons of upgrades looks awesome by the way it is a fj40 that just the model of landcruiser it is kind of like Jeep has a cj5 and cj7 anyway you have done a very nice job building your T-Maxx :hammer:

JESSE G, just get creative with laying out your paint scheme.. Pick up a good quality paint mask from Parma or one of the many other manufacturers out there, and use some creative shading to bring the flames out. Shading is a very important technique, that most overlook. It is not always easy, & requires some practice. Do some test painting on soda bottles or scrap lexan to master the technique. Dont be afraid experiment with different paints & air pressures.. You'll find that some pressures will give you more precise lines... Good luck...
That last pic (purple w/flames) is an HPI GT1 stock Savage body. I think it's one of the nicer looking lids out there to shoot....

Thanks for the info I have done some airbrushing on some of my diecast cars and trucks here is a pic of one of them I did awhile back. I will keep in mind about the shading and air pressure.

Wow that is one nice looking T-Maxx Jesse!

I forgot to mension an uninstalled spool, and an installed 18T clutchbell.

I'll see if I can get some newer pics, but it is half torn apart right now, as some of the upgrades are brand new. Getting ready for next summer. LOL!!!!!!

Still under construction, but here it is how it sits today.

Hope to have it done by spring. I'll post progress once in a while here. Also, I got rid of the Landcruiser body, and am now working on a Pro Line CJ8, and trying to decide what tires.

I agree those are sweet I think they would do awesome off road, on pavement they will howl you defiently here it coming. A friend of mine has a Ford ranger and he has Super Swampers on it they are very close in design to the swamp dawgs and you could here him coming a mile away lol they are awesome in mud. Post pics once you get the new body and tires I would really like to see it :)

I hope you guys are praised at least every two days for your skills in this area!!

Very nice work!!

I was given a set number of skill points when I was created. It seems that I was maxed out in all categories except the ability to create things in an artistic manner. I had thought this was a small price to pay for my other abilities and striking good looks, but at this moment.......I am quite envious!!

:smoke:

Here's what mine looks like as of today. Upgrading still in progress.....

Painted my Jeep body yesterday. Don't know when I'll get some pics up of it, but I think it turned out pretty good. I painted the doors, and bed black, and the rest white, silver, and black camo. I've got to finish cutting it out, put on the decals, and find a digi cam to barrow, or buy then I'll post some pics.
