The fastest I ever traveled on a bike was on a 92 ZX-11 Ninja, and that was exactly 152 mph according to it's speed-o that I only took an instant to glance at, and it was still accelerating when I let off.

I was an import bike mechanic about 2 years before I started running my harley shop. The ride I'm talking about was after I did a valve adjustment and carb retuning on that bike. It was amazing how quick it was, and amazingly uncomfortable,,lol.
At anyrate, they are amazing for what they are designed for, I can't argue that.

Speaking of pride and joy, here's a pic of mine, and I'll "drag" race any crotchrocket on the planet, as I figure to really dragrace is to face opposite directions and chain both bike's rear axles to each other and see who "drags" who. :)
By the way, my bike's engine and tranny is probably older than most of the crotch rocket riders themselves.

Is that a 68 Charger with a Daytona wing in the background?

Rossb, that is EXACTLY what it is,,lmao,,you are the first person that has seen my car and knew what it was!
When I bought the car, it already had the daytona wing, and 70 R/T door scoops ,,I figured it was an aftermarket replica wing as so few were built, 503 I believe, but it turns out that the wing is an original Daytona wing and worth more than what I paid for the car :)

Some folks think it looks stupid, but I'm never selling the car or the wing, and I like the look of it myself, so I don't really care how stupid most folks think it looks :)

I can tell by the rear lights that its a '68 and they didn't make a Daytona in '68. So I figured that someone stuck the wing on there.

I know of a guy (friend of a friend) that just finished restoring a Superbird. Here is it.

that pic is of a 70 super bird. 69 daytona charger looks much different.

nice mopar in the back round btw :) also nice bike!!! my unkle has a 57 pan head. really nice bike. but as many know the older harley motors really can't put the HP out. the 1340 CC bike harley's of the 90's had like 47 horse power stock. thats a big motor with so little HP. the TQ is nice. but what i dont get is every time i talk to a harley guy they brag about the TQ the harlies have. you know what i say. what you going to do pull a car then. lol.

oh and another thing. i have my title of my ZX1100 and would love to see your bike in my garage as well.lol. race for titles?

Ruff - Did you read my post? I know what the cars are, I already explained that.

I also have a stock, original '57 Pan,, and the HP rating on that engine was about 50-60 hp,, and on the 90's models(evo engine) were at about 65-70 hp, and yes they are loaded with torque, and they last forever and ever and ever, and yes, I'll race for titles, under one condition:
The condition is, we race twice, we both ride the same bikes now and 30 years from now, mine will still be just as torqy and accelerate just the same,,your's will have been "recycled" and had beer dispensed in can form many times for the second race, I doubt that a beer can has much acceleration ;) If you can't win twice, then I'm not interested :)

By the way, Harley still owns the all out World Speed Record for motorcycles and it has 2 Shovel (outdated and only torqy as you described) engines, (the last year they were produced was 1984),,and that record is 322.18 MPH ;)
