Pics from my trip to KSC and of the shuttle launch.

I got to travel for work to KSC for an IT meeting, which just happened to line up with a launch. We also got to go on a couple of tours of the OPF (orbital processing facility), VAB (vertical assembly building) and SSPF (space station processing facility). we got to watch the launch from the "turning basin" which is where the "big clock" is and the closest you can get to the launch with out getting hazard pay.


Stayed in a hotel in cocoa beach on the beach. it was great!

I don't get jealous/envious of too many things but this is sure one of them. I'd love the get that close up to KSC and a launch. Congrats bro,that had to be an awesome experience!

Your pics also bring back memories of when they took the Enterprise to do landing tests and we got to see the shuttle and its 747 transporter fly over our house.

I've got a few of those to. it did a flyover of elington and JSC a few years ago.
