Anyone have advice on reliable and affordable starting options for my Picco 26? I can't afford a starter box and I have blown up a pull start and couple of Ofna roto starts. Oh and my easy start 2 just wouldn't turn the motor.

My thought is to go with the roto start again and unscrew the plug a little.

Oh and will the Savage rotostart work on the Picco? The images of them on Tower look exactally the same.

I used a roto start and loosened the glow plug to start it then tightened it back up for break in until break in was done. Those suckers are tight. It burned up 2 ez starts before I went to roto start.I finally switched to the bump box and that worked best.

Ok I am getting another rotostart and we'll see what happens from there.

You can also heat the block with a hair dryer before trying to start it. That and loosen the glow plug, and it should help ya get it started.

or there is always a black and deck 14 volt cordless drill for start up! just set the clutch on the drill just past the point it slips when trying to start the motor. works great for me.

I actually have been using my 19.2v Craftsman. I don't think the slipper was set correctly.
