Hey guys, well I have a picco, its the same one that comes in the schumacher fusion on road, the problem is this one has n big squarish heatsink, not round like most others I've seen, can anybody tell me more about this specicfic motor,or is it just the heatsinks that differ?

Thanks!

Is this the .28 version or.....?

8+1 Port Picco built .28 Turbo (4.5cc) engine

Thats the mill if this is your car model.

Yes! The huge square heatsink, how will this thing run in the xl?

This is strictly a tossed out idea that I am not at all certain, so dont point any fingers at me if sh** hits the fan. But if you can match the Piccos carb setup and exhaust direction to the mill in your XL, I dont see a problem. You might have to buy a mount if its not a direct drop as well. If indeed you need a mount get the part number/s of them and contact Picco and ask them about the engine and the mounts for same or similar size mounts. Thats what I would do if nobody chimed in a solid yay or nay.

I am not 100% because I dont drive HPIs, I kill them.

That much I gathered from you're name, allready checked the mounts, its a direct fit luckily. Just hope its a upgrade from the shite 5.9 motor.

Another Picco 28 topic, maybe not the same exact mill but as far as the 28 powering the xl.

Right Here

Lol I usually NEVER go through this much trouble to help but its dead here right now and am taking breaks between shining my MGT up.. Your welcome hehe

That motor is a picco 28 but with a turbo head. It's a direct drop into the XL. You may need to file the inside of the stock xl motor mount tho but nothing major. Also it will be a huge improvement over the 5.9. The picco is the best motor out the IMO, but I'm bias I own 3 modded piccos lol.
