Yeah, the "monster blocks" just have way too much power for a t-maxx or savage. They work great on the really heavy trucks, but the big blocks can out run them in a hurry. The monster blocks don't really get many RPMs.

Holly $hit I guess! I bet he has a hard time keeping them on the shelf. Someone also told me that the collari 3 port, for the racers that have to stay with a .21, is an awsome engine for around $160.

if i am looking at the right engine and doing the math right they have it for 291.85 and rushrc has it for 209

I would rather pay $209 for the WRXLC30MT but they are different engines on the Storm site. These engines are .21 multi-port race engines.
 
Well I broke down and sold my Savage .25 and had a hankering for some Savage time... I built a Savage 4.6 Kit and put in the L. Collari .30.
One tank down start driving it tomorrow. I had to restart it a few times but VERY easy on the hands compared to other big blocks - I was surprised.
 
Anyone seen or heard of a roto start backplate or tiger drive for the collari 30. I put one on me Savage and keep breaking the pullstart cord or spring. If it isn't one it's the other.
 
When you rebend the spring make sure you heat it up with a torch, otherwise you'll just keep breaking it. And replace the pullstart cord with some mini-blind cord at your home improvememt store. The Collari .30 should be very easy to start with the new cord.
 
Thanks! I'll try that. have you heard on any starting system for it yet?? Till then I guess I'll use your advice on the pull.
 
I haven't heard anything, but now that I have successfully used a pullstart I will probably never go back to an electric start. Less stuff to lug around and when you are bashing, it's nice to just pull a glow starter out of your pocket and re-start after a stall.
 
got me Collari installed 4 tanks down now

ok got it out in the parking lot after 2 tanks on the stand to start the rolling tanks for break in was doing the figure 8 stuff and MAN this 30 is way loud lol
I'm glad i waited till today to do the thottle on stuff. I have not started to lean out the needles but at 1/4 to 1/2 throttle i can feel this milll is gonna be crazy powerful.
