Plucked up the courage to fit my violator tank today lol.

Very nice, I see you were able to keep the battery box, excellent. I wasn't to comfortable of others saying that you have to lose the battery box. I like the thought of protecting the battery and switch. I have yet to get a violator tank. Once again very nice. :thumbs-up:
 
Thanks. I was pleased with the outcome.

I cut a hole in the side window to refuel too. Ill get a snapshot of that to show you too.
 
I didn't even think about refueling. I kind of took my roll cage for granted, relatively easy access to everything.
 
It's going great, well other than having to retune at mid tank. But all other aspects are superb. :D This engine is going to be a screamer. I took it out today and got about 4 tanks thru it which brings me up to about 16 total. Past few tanks I've been hitting second gear and my rig will MOVE! :celebrate3: I think I need to adjust my shift point a bit, it hits second too early and then needs alot of room to reach top speed. How are things going with yours? Have you run with the Violator tank yet?
 
No, not had chance to run it yet with the Violator tank, weather here this weekend was nasty.

Loving the engine though. At first idle was erratic but that got better after it was run in. Had quite a few emails to Ofna as the fuel I was using had too high content of oil, so with their advice I needed a hotter plug and it worked a treat. I was told it is not recommended to use a fuel with more than 12% oil and the engine is best with 20-25% nitro. So, I've got a bottle of Byrons Race 2500 waiting to try and a cooler Glow Plug.

Also just fitted a THS Exhaust at the same time as the Violator tank, so look forward to seeing the results of that too.
