So I recently got a picco .26 max not red dot. I have a possible issue there looks to be gas or oil on the base of the motor. Is this normal or do I have a issue. Also is there a way of telling if the motor is fully broken in yet. Any info would be awsome. And sorry about the bad gramer I'm on my phone.

I have a picco .26 maxx as well and i do on occasion see oil and fuel in the bottom of my crank case but as far i know its to keep the bearings lubed up a, i have had no problems with mine. . .i may be wrong, but i have no issues, but as far as knowing if it is fully broken in, thats hard to tell, is it easy to turn the flywheel by hand because those piccos are notorious for being super tight, and if it is super tight heat up the head with a hair dryer to expand the sleeve and see how that goes and if the pinch(compression) feels good to you go ahead and run it just keep an eye on ur temps and u should be golden

My concern is it's leaking. Not sure from where. I read slot about sealing. I'm sure some one could fill me in on this as far as where to do it and with what. Also as far as the bearing. You mean the one way bearing correct. And temp I'm running like 220 with body off is that good or to low.

220 is actually kinda low for a picco, both of mine like the be around 250 or so. . .but as far as sealing it you wanna seal up where the carb meets the engine to do that you need to take the carb off and seal around the engine side and also you need to seal the backplate and that is done the same way, and use RED HIGH TEMP RTV
sorry about the caps but i wanted to make sure you see what i wrote, and when you seal the backplate it needs to come off and make sure it is clean with no sealant already on it and also no dirt obviously, and if you have air duster you may wanna blow out the inside of the engine with it just to make sure nothing got down into it.
That is the procedure i use and it works great for me, if you have any more questions about n e thing feel free to ask me or anyone else on here

maybe ur front bearing is leaking, picco .26 max has an issue about leaking on front bearing, but if the engine is holding tune keep playing with it.;)

So I just did the rtv sealing. So tomm I will post with how it worked out. As fas as front bearing is concerned can that leak a bit or not at all? And I think the final question I have is. I was thinking of a header. Is this a good idea bad idea or what? Keep in mind I like the rear exaust. And I have a new era ripple pipe.

imo if u really wanna appreciate your engine get a side pipe like the dynamite .053,and you will see the power of your .26 max
