my revo with picco .26 reddot and rd 61530 bb exhaust,18/38 gears and wide ratio in the tranny is wheeling when it hits 2nd is that normal and do i need to go to center diff or is it that normal? think it is tuned close alittle on the rich side lots of smoke and glow plug is wet on ring around coil. just want to make sure i'm not wrong on the gearing or something. it does wheelie of the start bad if i punch it but that is easy to stop by not punching it hard but the 2nd gear wheeling is scary lol. thanks

Do you have a temp gauge? It is a good idea to get one if you don't. It will help you get the tuning a lot closer.

I ran a center diff in mine from almost the beginning. If you don't like wheelies that is the way to go. I would suggest the rear brake kit if you do get the center diff so that you can use the rear wheels to stop.

Temp is about 215 to 230 with head wrapped with foil. Was 23 out today. guess I'll be ordering the center diff and rear brake tomarrow after work. now to explain it to wife lol.

It's always easier to ask for forgivness vs asking permission.
I would get a 16 or 17 tooth clutch bell to help make up for the drastic increase in power compared to a 3.3.
Even with the head wrapped you may find that the motor is worn out in the spring if you run it in the cold too much.
Your wife loves you, get the diff, brake and clutch bell.:D
