Got me a used Picco .26 and had it ouy running today, and this thing HAULS! Only problem is when I got it around 250 it kept dying and would not start again untill it got below 100. It would start instantly but only run untill 250 again! What could be the problem? Please help!!!!!!

It sounds like it's running a bit lean. You really shouldn't have temps above 230*. Richen up the LSN just a touch (about 1/8 of a turn) and that should help the problem.

Try to richen it as stated, but if the problems persist, seal your engine. Rtv high temp copper. Header, carb and backplate. If it still persists, seal the hsn assembly.

Ok. Maybe it is a little bit lean, but I don't understand why it won't start again untill it cools off almost completely? Kinda makes me think there is more to it.

The engine was overheated. It needs to cool so that the parts shrink back to their normal size and the piston and sleeve have room to move and too tight.

Well, turns out the picco is junk! Once it got hot there was no compression! It had to cool off and tighten up again to start! Maybe I'll try to rebuild, maybe I'll just wait for the red dot!

About how long was it good for? Heard that it probably will only last for a gallon or so?
