should look somethin' like this:

linkage2.webp

Oh yeah... those rod guides/pivot posts should be able to turn freely in the servo horn. Your problem might be that they're cinched down too tight.

is that neutral throttle position??

i have a ball joint attching the arm to the carb and a ball joint attching the arm to the post where youhavethe bent wire through thehole...

ill post pics tomorrow when i get my digital camera

I've been cruisingthe manuel online and have learned some stuff.

buti noticed that was the traxxas engine and my sirio is a little different.
and what does the other rod controll and why do you have plastic on it?

Yes, that's neutral.

You didn't build your truck, did you?

The other rod is the brake. That piece of plastic is actually a piece of silicone tubing. It acts as a snubber for the brake linkage. If it wasn't there you wouldn't have your varying degrees of brake pressure over the linear throw of the brake rod. The throw for the brake rod is long. The throw on the brake lever is short.

As far as your binding issue, I would recommend disconnecting the linkage from the carb AND the servo. Make sure the linkage moves freely. Make sure your carb slide moves freely. Make sure your servo turns freely. My bet is the linkage.
